It is important to recognize that public school was designed as an experiment in education. No other country in the history of the world has ever tried such an all-inclusive educational program.
In addition, there are several reasons why parents are abandoning public education, even though approximately 70% of all state taxes, as well as a large percentage of all federal taxes are being spent on it. Many are concerned with declining test scores, low academic achievement of graduates, and the declining moral values coming out of this public education experiment.
This book is designed to give answers to these questions and concerns. Much of our information is derived from a number of publications by some of the greatest experts in education. We appreciate the great work these scholars have added to the study of this important topic. We trust that this work will give additional insights that may be helpful to dedicated parents who are earnestly seeking the best education for their children.
